Basic dog training things you need to know are how the dog come to you when you call, how to sit when you tell your dog to and how do I train him to do the potty where I want him to. These issues are first basic things you should do when adopting a new dog, then you have to invest some time in these basic training.
Teaching your dog to come is the one of the most fundamental of his training. However, this technique requires a lot of repetition. The way the easier, telling your dog to come is to hold a toy in one hand and a treat in the other. Go far from your dog while showing the toy and ask him to come to you. When he comes, give him the treat.
