immunity from mother to prevent disease has only about six to eight weeks then will lower gradually, so puppy may be easily pathogenic and get disease. However, if vaccination early, there will be an anti-infection with the vaccine and the body immune system.
We should give a dog to vaccinate at approximately 2 months old (six weeks up of age) and continue over a period of several weeks then up to sixteen weeks. Be sure to stick to the schedule your vet gives you to insure immunity. Afterward, yearly booster shots provide the protection your dog will need.
Keep regular vaccinations from your veterinarian can help to protect your dog from getting serious and fatal illnesses such as parvovirus, hepatitis, distemper, leptospirosis, coronavirus, and rabies. A vaccination is also available for kennel cough, some respiratory problem that affects puppies or dogs exposed to other dogs.
